Uberlist

So, an idea that a lot of bloggers have been working on "The Uberlist" has inspired me to create one of my own. Basically it is a list of all the things you would like to get done in the next year if it was a perfect world. Here is my first stab at it:

Get the house ready to put on the market and...
Sell the house
Chose a location and home that nurtures our family and supports our future goals
Give Bruce the organizational support needed to find a new job
Have a second child
Learn how to make a really good pancake like my Mom's
Continue to reconnect with old friends through the phone, snail mail and internet
Make 5 new friends
Throw Bruce a graduation party
Cook dinner 4 nights a week
Continue to serve fresh fruits and vegetables at every meal, every day
buy more organic foods
learn to like to eat seafood
learn to tie dye
learn to cook more meals with whole grains and beans
find more authentic international restaurants in our area
make more of an effort to spend money in locally owned and operated businesses
keep playgroup and playdates a priority
find other ways to socialize Griffin with other children
Convert Griffin's crib to a toddler bed
Help Griffin become diaper free while sleeping
Teach Griffin to recognize his letters, colors and numbers
Be more present when spending time with Bruce and Griffin
Continue to take lots of photos
Organize photos in albums (paper and electronic)
Continue to call xxxxxxx weekly
Start to take a daily vitamin
Excercise 4 times a week
Get 3 haircuts during the year
Take time and resources for myself periodically -- guilt free
Read two books a month (only one can be a trashy novel :))
Listen to music everyday
Learn more about World Music
Read/listen to world news everyday
Finish making quilted pillows
Finish sewing project/gift for xxxxxxxx
Organize and donate extra crafting supplies
Start to think about future professional goals and the training/education I will need to get there
Visit the Amor family in Germany
Camping trip to the U.P. with Matt and Vida
Camping trip with the Swank/Gast families
Give people the benefit of the doubt
Show love and respect to all those I come in contact with
Come back in contact with my spirituality...it's in there somewhere
Blog 2 times a week
Be more patient with Griffin
Find effective ways to redirect/discipline/understand Griffin as he starts to exert his own will and opinions(and throws tantrums on the floor)
Continue to strive to be the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, employee that I can be

Fantastic list Christi. How did you get all those thoughts on paper. You are a very determined woman and I bet that you'll be abel to cross off most of those things on your list by the end of 2007. Good luck in this coming year, so many new changes ahead for you and your family. I am already feeling sad that we won't be seeing you as often starting this summer (because of your upcoming move) but I promise that we'll keep in touch. I'm thankful for your friendship.
