Maya wrap

We had a GREAT weekend. It finally felt like the Gast family was getting back to normal life...except with a one sweet addition.

Griffin kicked the ball 3 times at his game on Saturday! We were so proud of him. The coach kind of paired him up with our team's "ringer" Philip. Philip is the only kid as tall as Griffin on the team and he definitly knows how to play soccer. Griffin followed Philip and that brought him near the ball. We had not even gotten in the car before he was telling us he wanted to play more. We are so happy he is enjoying it and even starting to get the hang of it. And the Cracker Jack's are 3-0!
That is my Maya wrap in the picture (thanks Mom and Dikke!). Lucy LOVES it (even though it looks like she is hanging on for dear life in the picture, she was actually sound alseep). She pretty much falls asleep instantly when I put her in it. We use it on our daily walks with Griffin and Sunshine, to the soccer field, around the house, in stores...in fact, I have only used the stroller twice. People stop me all the time to ask if she is real. This slightly offends me in that it is questioning my sanity (do they really think a grown person would carry a doll around the mall/park/grocery store??) When we had Griffin we bought a baby bjorn carrier but I could never get him in and out of it by myself. This maya wrap is no problem to use alone, is pretty user friendly, although it takes a little getting used to. I highly recommend this wrap for any new parents that are looking for a way to be more connected with their baby when out and about and especially those who don't want to hassle with a stroller all the time. It would also be a very cool present for new parents. Here is the website for the Maya wrap.

Way to go Griff, next game you could be scoring a goal. Keep up the fun with soccer.

I have always wanted to try one of those sling/wraps, but never got one. I used a bjorn carrier and didn't have any problems with.

Great colors and yes she looks very cozy in it. Your back must be feeling good since your able tote Lucy around in the wrap.
