Labor Day Camping
Griffin hoopin' it up!
We had a really fun camping trip to the White Oaks campground in northern IN this past weekend. Bruce's parents manage the place and it was so fun to be there with them. Griffin and Matthew
There is so much to do there!! We spent time swimming in the pool, playing in the sand at the beach, putt-putt golfing, playing with our cousins, arcade games, outside games like hooping, Frisbee and corn-hole. Not to mention walks around the campground, rides on Grandma and Grandpa's golf carts, a visit to the ice cream parlor and meeting all the friendly neighbors. There was a rock concert, a DJ spinning in the afternoon, lots of campfires and great meals.

And of course, the reason we were there, spending time with our family. It was so good to catch up with Kelly and Eric and their kids, not to mention visiting with Steve and Lee.
Griffin had an amazing time, days packed with so many activities that he loves. He had an awesome time playing with his cousins. They had so many plots going it was hard to follow who was the "good" guy or the "bad" guy or if they were just preparing to blast off for Mars.
Dusky...hopefully not Lottie's baby daddy!!
Lottie LOVES meeting all the doggies at White Oaks and playing with Steve and Lee's pup, Dusky.
Lee and Kelly
On Sunday afternoon we all piled onto the pontoon boat for a couple of hours of relaxing on the Tippecanoe River. What a great time!!

Lucy had a bit of a hard weekend...not surprising after a difficult two weeks. Still no symptoms of illness, just grumpy, out-of-sorts and generally unpleasant. Sigh...she was a huge challenge to parent. During the day she only wanted Bruce and then at night she would hardly sleep and would only let me comfort her. Bruce came down with a cold pretty hard on Saturday and he really had to rally to get through it with Lucy. It's so hard when one member of a your group is just not into what you are doing...but I guess that is what it means to be a family, you just love them right through it.
So, now we are home and we miss these guys, BIG TIME. Really looking forward to the next time we can all get together.
